Michigan!

Today Jody and I slept in, and spent the day hanging out with my midwest family. We went to Warren Dunes State park with my Aunt Sherry and climbed Pikes Peak dune (it was very hot and very steep and I would be fudging the truth if I said that I climbed it Rocky-style. But just a little). I was rewarded with a magnificent view of the lake shore and a yummy snow cone when I got to the bottom :)

Across the Continental Divide

Jody and I travelled from Sacramento, CA to Bridgeman, MI. We stayed one night in Park City, Utah where they held the 2002 winter Olympics. It was very cold, but very pretty. The next night we stayed in Lincoln, Nebraska home of the Huskers.

<--- Over the pass, Donner Summit, California

<---Nevada Salt Flats, where the land speed world record occurs

<---Across Nevada with Utah in the horizon (the mountains)

<---The last red mountain rocks, somewhere in Wyoming, maybe Utah.

We were in five states today; we woke up in Nebraska, crossed Iowa, entered Illinois, swooped around the top of Indiana, and ended up in green and beautiful Michigan.
